Ex-Area Lawman Rites Set Sunday

Stigler(special)-Clark Clement, 68, former lawman in Haskell County, died Friday morning in a Muskogee hospital.

Funeral serviced will be at 2p.m. Sunday in the Main Street Baptist Church with Reverend Charles McNeil officiating.

Mallory Funeral Home will direct burial in Stigler Cemetery.

Clement, who retired several years ago as a clerk in the First National Bank here, had served as peace officer for 15 years, starting in 1926. He was under-sheriff for four years and then served as City Marshal. He also was a grocer. He belonged to Main Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Bill of Stigler, Pat of Blackwell, and Larry of Duncan; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Howard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mrs. Ruth Satterfield, Comanche.
