APRIL 2006
Quarterly Edition, Volume 3

Spring is here!!!! The flowers and trees are lovely and everything looks so fresh and clean.

This quarter was not very busy but things are going to change next quarter.

On February 17th we had our chili luncheon fund raiser at the Assembly of God Church. This was our first attempt at such a fund raiser and we are pleased with the outcome. WE hope to make this an annual event. Everyone was very helpful in making this a success.

At our March meeting the new by-laws were approved and copies are available at the museum.

Mr. L. J. Davidson, a former resident and student in Stigler, donated a collection of his Army Air Corp memorabilia to the museum. He and his son-in-law delivered the collection and the display case to the museum. We are pleased to have this collection adn thank Mr. Davidson for his donation.

Tina Peevyhouse is in the process of making new identification labels for most of the displays in the museum. They are very pretty and add a lot to the displays. She also re-framed the panorama picture we have of Old Stigler. Not only is it now nicely framed, it is protected for the future.

Reunion Days are fast approaching. The dates are June 16th and 17th and we are going to need volunteers to work at the museum. Last year was the busiest we have ever been and hopefully this year will be even better. We hope to discuss plans and schedule volunteers at our April 25th meeting. We would like to encourage as many members as possible to attend.

Until next quarter -- Happy Easter!
