Willie Amos of Bakersfield, California, formerly of the Stigler area and Rose Hill community, died March 19th, 2006.

Amos was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be missed so much by her loved ones. She was also very active in Lamont Freewill Baptist Church of Lamont, CA.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, J. R. Amos; one daughter, Marylin Shaw and husband Richard; two grandsons, Timmy Adams and wife Becky, Todd Adams and wife Darla; two great granddaughters, Alexa and Ashleen Adams, all of Bakersfield; one brother, Howard Smith and wife Gail of Maricopa, CA; three sisters, Gerline Holt and husband Vince of Porterville, CA; Vivian Kirkendall of Muskogee, OK; and Juanita Plunky of Stigler, OK. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends, including her special friend, Mercedes King of Stigler and Barbara Shepherd and husband, Vern of Stigler.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jimmy Lavone Amos; her parents, and three brothers.
